Residential Life
Thanksgiving and Winter break is coming up! Find out when the residence halls open and close to plan your travel to and from campus.
Fall Opening and Closing Dates
Welcome to life at CMC! The Residential Life Office seeks to provide a safe and comfortable living environment for all students.
CMC’s residential campus is fairly compact. Walking from Wohlford Hall to Auen Hall (the two residence halls farthest from each other) usually takes no more than three minutes.
Our Team
We are responsible for housing assignments - including new student housing, housing changes and Room Draw, the Resident Assistant (RA) Program, meal plans, and responding to residential life questions and concerns. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the team.
Housing
CMC has 14 residence halls and one student apartment complex. There are no “freshman dorms” at CMC; all residence halls are composed of students from various class years.
Dining Services
Collins is CMC’s dining hall, featuring health-conscious food and light-filled seating areas. In addition, students can visit the Hub for quick meals. Meal plans also work at the other Claremont Colleges dining halls.
New Students
Welcome to the newest members of our CMC community! Orientation is designed to introduce you and your family to the College's traditions, academic programs, and unique culture as well as to help you meet new people and learn more about the college experience.
International Students
CMC is deeply committed to the success and well-being of our international students. International students make up nearly one-fifth of the entire student body and are an invaluable part of our CMC community.
Returning Students
Be sure to check the student portal for updated information on key campus dates and academic calendar.
