Peer Tutoring

For students seeking course-specific support, the Academic Success team of the Dean of Students Office can connect them to academic coaches, academic resources (QCL and CWPD), departmental tutoring services, and free peer tutoring for general education and gateway courses at CMC. Peer Tutoring offered through DOS is a peer-based one-on-one or small group service. Appointments for the Fall '24 Semester will begin the week of September 23rd and end on December 1st.

Request Tutoring Assistance

Requests should be submitted as soon as possible to allow time to identify the available resource or tutor. It is required that the student meet for the professor of the course for which they are seeking assistance. Currently enrolled CMC students may request a tutor for any course they are taking, however, it is not guaranteed that every student will be matched with a tutor. If a tutor already exists for the subject somewhere else on campus, you will NOT be matched with an extra tutor. It is expected that you use the resource that is already provided.

A member from Academic Success will email students to inform them of their request status within 48 business hours after submission. After an interview and training, the tutor will be matched. Once matched, it is the student’s responsibility to contact the tutor to set up an initial meeting.
