Only a few short weeks left until the end of the semester! As students begin planning for their departure, you may need some information regarding storage. As you know, students are not permitted to store their belongings on campus. Listed below is some information regarding various storage solutions:
STORAGE PODS/BOXES:
Storage pod/box companies will bring a box to campus for students and their “pod-mates” to load with belongings. The drop-off areas for the boxes are restricted to the following locations:
- Bauer Parking Lot
- Sixth and Mills Parking Lot
- CMC Apartment Parking Lot - only available to current CMC Apartment Residents.
To reserve space for a box in one of these areas, students must complete this Qualtrics sign-up form. As we near fall semester, they will receive another sign-up link to submit your fall return information. If a group sharing the box, only one person should send the email but should include a list of the names of all of the members of the group.
Once the storage box is loaded, the storage company will pick-up the box and store it at their facility until your return. Storage boxes must be removed from campus by Monday, May 20, 2022 due to construction projects taking place. The boxes are usually 8x5x7 in size. The costs will depend upon the size of the storage container you reserve and the length of time you are storing your belongings. CMC does not reserve storage pods, students must arrange for their storage directly with a storage company. The companies below are the ones used by our students most often:

DORM ROOM MOVERS
Our newest storage provider to CMC, Dorm Room Movers, makes move-out simple and secure with full service storage and shipping solutions. They will send you boxes and tape. Pack it and the movers will pick up the items and store them, and deliver everything back upon return. Dorm Room Movers can also ship boxes home or wherever you need them.

OFF CAMPUS STORAGE FACILITES
You may wish to utilize one of the local self-storage facilities in the Claremont area. Many off-campus storage options are affordable, particularly if students share the space. Transportation is sometimes included with rental. Here is a list of a few of the local self-storage companies:
