Innovation Mentors Selection Process and Criteria
Welcome to the Silicon Valley Program: Innovation Mentor application page.
Each semester, Claremont Colleges’ students arrive in the heartland of global technology and business innovation, to embark on the semester-long Silicon Valley Program (SVP). Our goal is to leverage the varied talents, expertise, and experiences of the Bay Area and Silicon Valley alumni community, and to create and maintain a world class mentoring environment, centered on the students of the Silicon Valley Program. Through this program, we hope to provide informal and professional support to current students in Silicon Valley.
Mission Statement
Provide informal and trusted-professional support to current students and alumni seeking to bring their innovation ideas to fruition in Silicon Valley by leveraging the varied talents, expertise, and experiences within the CMCAA Bay Area/Silicon Valley chapters and the larger Claremont Colleges community.
The CMCAA Bay Area and Silicon Valley chapters are pleased to announce the formation of new kind of mentoring program centered around the SVP. Mentors will be matched to an SVP student for the semester, and will be encouraged to meet with the student a couple of times during the semester, while maintaining an open line of communications for questions throughout. The SVP will be hosting a couple of events where mentors and mentees may meet and mingle. Informal gatherings are encouraged.
We appreciate your interest in helping SVP students on the program in Silicon Valley by lending your advice and counsel. When you complete this brief form, we will match you up with one of the participating students. You may direct any questions to Off-Campus Study at 909-621-8267. Thank you for your participation.
