Fall Move-In Information
Students will receive more detailed information regarding move in day and WOA preparation this summer. Please be sure to check your CMC email regularly for move-in details and other important information you will need prior to move-in.
Fall Move-In Dates
- International Student Move-In: Thursday, August 15, 2024
- If you are looking for additional International Student resources, please visit our ISS page.
- New Student Move-In Day: Sunday, August 18, 2024
- Returning Students: Residence Halls open Saturday, August 24 – 25, 2024 (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.). Students check in at Story House unless otherwise indicated via email from Residential Life.

Before You Arrive
- Mailroom is located in Story House. For mailing and shipping instructions, click here.
- All mail for students should be received to the Story House Mailroom, and should be addressed in the following format:

Parking: Campus Safety will not ticket non-registered cars on move-in day unless the vehicle is in a red zone area or parked in a handicap space with no placard. The City of Claremont may issue tickets for illegal parking on city streets or in fire lanes.

North Quad Check-In (Appleby, Boswell, Green, Wohlford, and Off-Campus)
North Quad check-in will be located in the small Bauer parking lot. You can navigate to 500 E. 9th St., Claremont, CA 91711. Please consult the instructions and map for traffic pattern and parking information.
- To access the drop-off point, turn west onto Ninth Street from Claremont Boulevard.
- Drop-off point is the small Bauer parking lot. Please follow signs.
- To prevent congestion, we ask that drivers circle back to the Bauer parking lot via the following route:
- Exit small Bauer lot by turning right onto 9th Street.
- The entrance to Bauer parking lot will be the next right.
Mid Quad Check-In (Beckett, Benson, Berger, Crown, Phillips, and Valach)
Mid Quad check-in will be located on the grass in between Crown and Benson. You can navigate to 600 Amherst Ave., Claremont, CA 91711. Please consult the instructions and map for traffic pattern and parking information.
- To access the drop-off location, turn west onto Sixth Street from Claremont Boulevard.
- Take a right onto Amherst Avenue and pull over on the right side.
- Drop-off point is the north side of Crown Hall.
- To prevent congestion, we ask that drivers circle back to the Mills parking lot via the following route:
- Follow Amherst Avenue left onto Eighth Street, then take a left on College Avenue.
- Take a left onto Sixth Street, and after you pass the towers, take a right onto Mills Avenue.
- The entrance to the parking lot will be on your left side. Street parking on Mills is also acceptable during daytime hours.
South Quad Check-In (Marks, Auen, Stark, Fawcett)
South Quad check-in will be located in Gould Plaza, in the middle of the three large tower residence halls. You can navigate to 497 E. 6th St., Claremont, CA 91711. Please note that our drop-off point is on the north side of the street. In order to drop off luggage, you must be in the westbound lane of Sixth Street. Please consult the instructions and map for traffic pattern and parking information.
- To access the drop-off location, turn west onto Sixth Street from Claremont Boulevard.
- Drop-off point is at the base of the towers.
- To prevent congestion, we ask that drivers circle back to the Mills parking lot via the following route:
- Heading west on Sixth Street, take a right onto Amherst Avenue.
- Follow that road left onto Eighth Street, then take a left on College Avenue.
- Take a left onto Sixth Street, and after you pass the towers, take a right onto Mills Avenue.
- The entrance to the parking lot will be on your left side. Street parking on Mills is also acceptable during daytime hours.
