Office of Institutional Philanthropy and Sponsored Research
Claremont McKenna College is committed to advancing the research and programmatic pursuits of the College community. The Office of Institutional Philanthropy serves this institutional mission as a central resource for faculty, staff, and students interested in securing internal and external grant funding for their work. The OIP is here to help throughout all phases of the grant process (pre-award to post-award), which may include:
- Identifying potential funders—foundation, corporate, and government
- Partnering with the College’s Advancement team to foster connections with private donors
- Building internal and external collaborations and offering additional program management support
- Assistance in developing proposals, including budgets
- Help throughout the submission process, including securing support from senior leadership
- Reviewing and endorsing proposals
- Working with the Office of the Treasurer to assist with post-award management
- The closeout process at the grant’s conclusion
We encourage you to reach out to us with any questions. We look forward to working with you.
