Multilingual Writing Support

One-on-One Conferences

One-on-one conferences are tailored to your writing needs. When you meet with Mellissa Martinez she will spend around 30 minutes with you helping to brainstorm, outline, craft or review an essay that you've already begun. Your purpose may be to get questions answered, work on a class assignment, or address the development of a skill, such as jumping into discussions. Please sign up for an appointment on WCOnline by selecting the "202X Fall/Spring Multilingual Appointments," or by clicking on the link below.

Workshops

Small group workshops address the most common inquiries and are scheduled on an ongoing basis. These utilize a hands-on approach that includes both explanation and application. Topics might include "Tips for multilingual writers," "Brushing up on citation skills," "Mastering verb tenses in academic writing," "How to safely use Grammarly and other AI tools," or anything else that students are interested in. If you would like for Mellissa to schedule a specific workshop, please reach out to her with your suggestions.
