Career Services @ the Soll Center for Student Opportunity are organized around Interest Clusters rather than majors. This is because your academic major no longer has to equate to your future career. Interest clusters are groupings of similar industries that CMC students are most excited about exploring.
Why Join an Interest Cluster?
Students within an Interest Cluster will have the opportunity to engage in tailored:
- Individual career appointments with interest cluster experts
- Programs and workshops
- Networking events and panels
- Meet-ups and career fairs
- Networking treks and employer site visits
- Career chats with alumni and parents
- Weekly announcements
- Job and internship opportunities
How to Join an Interest Cluster?
Go the profile section of Handshake today and check one or more of the 8 Career Interest Cluster boxes. This allows you to "opt in" to all of the above information and programming. You can go into Handshake at any time to check additional boxes or uncheck boxes as your interests evolve.
