Tickets for performances of the Stephen Sondheim musical Into the Woods, starring students of Pomona, Pitzer, Scripps, and Harvey Mudd colleges, are now on sale at the Seaver Theatre Box Office. Tickets are $5 for faculty, staff, seniors, and students, and $10 for the general public. Performances will be held at 8 p.m., Nov. 17-19, and at 2 p.m., Nov. 19-20.
Originally a book by James Lapine, the comedic, theatrical fairy tale follows favorite storybook characters blending traditional stories with a new twistin two acts.
Into the Woods is directed by visiting assistant professor of theatre and dance Boots Pascual, and stars members of the Department of Theatre & Dance at Pomona College. The cast also includes the talents of guest musical director Jimmy Vann, dance choreographer Katy Lind, scenic designer Jeanine Eastham, costume designer Sherry Linnell, and lighting designer Jim Taylor.
