The CUC Student Health Services (SHS) has announced its flu clinic schedule for students, faculty, and staff. Flu shots will be available through SHS by appointment beginning Oct. 21. The cost is $20.
Flu clinics are scheduled for individual campuses. Students are welcome to attend any of the student clinics noted below. All participants are encouraged to complete the SHS Vaccine Questionnaire and Consent Form prior to arriving at the clinic.

Students, staff, and faculty may also contact their primary-care provider or participate in local flu clinics offered through the City of Claremont and pharmacies. All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to receive a seasonal flu shot.
"According to the CDC, the best prevention against the seasonal flu is the flu vaccination," said Denise Hayes, director of the CUC Student Health Services. "Additional preventative measures include covering your nose and mouth with tissue when coughing or sneezing, washing your hands frequently, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth."
The seasonal flu vaccine is not expected to protect against the 2009 H1N1 virus. CUC Student Health Services plans to be a distribution point for the H1N1 flu vaccine once it becomes available. For more information about the H1N1 flu vaccine, please click here.
