In addition to football rivalry, homecoming celebrationsplanned for Friday, Nov. 11 and Saturday, Nov. 12 will kick off with the 40th anniversary of the traditional singing parties hosted by Ward Elliott, the Burnet C. Wohlford Professor of American Political Institutions. The anniversary party, set for 8 p.m. on Friday at Professor Elliott's home, is open to all CMC alumni.
A full itinerary follows on Saturday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast check-in in the conference room of the Claremont Boulevard building, 400 N. Claremont Blvd, and continuing with a schedule that includes campus tours, alumni and team athletics events, In-N-Out lunch outside of Ducey Gymnasium, games for young visitors, and the CMS vs. Occidental football game. A victory fiesta follows the game at 4 p.m., and will be succeeded by several evening activities including the alumni Athletic Hall of Fame banquet at the Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum, and Monte Carlo Night at Collins Dining Hall.
