Dr. Tanya Remer Altmann ’94 joins the CMC Board of Trustees as an Alumna Trustee

The Claremont McKenna College Board of Trustees recently appointed Dr. Tanya Remer Altmann ’94 as an Alumna Trustee. Dr. Altmann will serve a three-year term, which began on July 1, 2020.

Dr. Altmann, a nationally recognized child health expert, is a best-selling author of parenting books and an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital and Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She is also a spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is currently providing her medical expertise on several local COVID-19 task forces, and as the school physician at Viewpoint School in Calabasas.

“I am honored to serve on the CMC Board of Trustees and look forward to helping CMC continue its mission as a premier liberal arts college,” said Altmann. “I am excited to see the growth of CMC’s science and technology program, and help CMC navigate the ever-changing landscape due the global pandemic.”

Dr. Altmann launched Calabasas Pediatric Wellness Center in 2015 to offer comprehensive pediatric healthcare to children. She has more than two decades of experience providing pediatric medical care, and is a frequent guest expert on CNN and Fox News, as well as Live with Kelly and RyanThe Doctors, and KTLA 5 Morning News in Los Angeles.
