The Claremont McKenna College Alumni Association will host a Christmas tree cutting and train ride event in Fillmore on Saturday, Dec. 11.
Participants will depart from Fillmore, by train, at 9:30 a.m., for a Christmas tree farm, where they will have the opportunity to select and cut down their own trees for the holidays. Trees will be netted and loaded on the train for the ride back. (Allow plenty of traveling time to reach Fillmore, as late-arriving guests will not be accommodated.)
About the trip:
Tickets: (train only), $20 for adults, $10 for ages 4-12.
Trees: (pay on site): $40 under 8 feet, $50 over 8 feet. (Add $3 netting fee.)
What to bring:
warm clothes,
blanket or cloth and rope, if transporting a tree back home.
Sack lunch suggested, as train returns to Fillmore at 1 p.m.
