Blog by Professor John Pitney Appears in New York Times

An editorial blog by John J. Pitney Jr., the Roy P. Crocker professor of American politics and co-author of Epic Journey: The 2008 Elections and American Politics, appears in the Tuesday, Oct. 13 issue of The New York Times' Opinion page, online.

Pitney is one of seven experts in politics and government chiming in on Republican Sen. Olympia J. Snowe's recent show of support for the Senate Finance Committee's health care reform bill. Pitney is among the pundits answering these questions from the Times' Opinion editors: What might this say about how partisan politics has evolved? Is there a historical precedent that we might compare this to?
