CMC will grant a one-year opt-out tenure clock extension to all tenure-track faculty employed at CMC in the Kravis Department of Integrated Sciences during AY 2024-2025 contingent upon the completion of the Robert Day Sciences Center by July 1, 2025, with “completion” defined as the tenure-track faculty having the ability to occupy their offices and the laboratory or other research space in the Center that has been designated for their use, as confirmed by the Dean of the Faculty.
If the Robert Day Sciences Center is not completed by July 1, 2025, CMC will grant an additional one-year opt-out tenure clock extension (up to a two-year extension in total) to all tenure-track faculty employed at CMC in the Kravis Department of Integrated Sciences during both AY 2024-2025 and AY 2025-2026. If the Robert Day Sciences Center is not completed by July 1, 2025, CMC will grant a one-year opt-out tenure clock extension to all tenure-track faculty employed at CMC in the Kravis Department of Integrated Sciences who joined CMC during AY 2025-2026.
- No faculty member is obliged to accept either the one-year or two-year extension; they may choose instead to follow the original review schedule, choose a one-year extension, or choose a two-year extension (if they are eligible for a two-year extension).
- A faculty member may choose not to accept the one-year or two-year extension either before reappointment (if applicable) or before tenure.
- All decisions to Not Accept an extension must be made in writing to the Dean of the Faculty and the Department no later than March 31st of the year before the reappointment or tenure review.
