Diana Linden, art historian, is the author of The New Deal Murals of Ben Shahn: Jewish Identity in the American Scene (Wayne State University Press, forthcoming 2015). Linden will situate Shahn’s New Deal mural production within the context of broad themes in American history, including American-Jewish history.
