1946 Challenge raised $946,806 with 2,174 donors

Celebrating both the founding of the College and our 75th Anniversary, this year’s 1946 Challenge inspired record-breaking response from the CMC community.

The fourth annual 1946 Challenge, held Oct. 13 and 14, surpassed our goal of 1,946 donors in 1,946 minutes, with 2,174 donors and $946,806.

A total of 55 matches and challenges helped to motivate donors to make their gifts. The class of 2014 ended the 1946 Challenge with the most donors. The parent class with the most donors was the senior class of 2022, with 67 donors. The Center or Institute with the most participants was the Gould Center for Humanistic Studies. In honor of the 75th Anniversary of the College, $75.00 was the most popular gift amount.

Funds raised go directly to CMC students, purchasing everything from textbooks to technology, sports equipment to travel expenses for conferences, and supporting opportunities such as the Athenaeum, Athletics, Study Abroad, Center and Institutes, Diversity and Inclusion, Financial Aid, Scholarships, Mental Health, Women’s Leadership, and more.

Thank you to everyone for being a part of the Challenge and the CMC family.
