As an Economics major, you will receive individualized resume review, cover letter assistance, and interview preparation through the CMC Career Services Center.
Throughout the year, you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of events, many hosted by RDS, aimed at maximizing your contact with potential employers. The activities begin in the fall, with employer-hosted information sessions and two on-campus industry nights focusing on careers in finance, consulting, and accounting. These events provide the opportunity to meet employers and learn first-hand of the differences between various organizations.
The career management support continues during the academic year through access to Claremont Connect (CMC’s online job database), on-campus interview opportunities, and internship placement support. Due to Claremont McKenna’s relationships with a variety of organizations, which include top firms in banking, consulting, asset management and accounting, hundreds of positions are posted on Claremont Connect every semester.
Due to CMC's focus on economics and leadership, our alumni are extremely accomplished in the financial services industry. For this reason, all RDS students are encouraged to connect with industry professionals via CMC's extensive alumni network. Through these contacts, you will have the ability to discuss current topics with prominent financial leaders and develop a powerful network of professional colleagues.
