Lowe and Berger Institutes Hosting Conference in Applied Microeconomics

The Lowe Institute of Political Economy in conjunction with the Berger Institute for Work, Family and Children at Claremont McKenna College will host the all-day Southern California Conference in Applied Microeconomics (SCCAM) on Friday, April 16 at The Claremont Colleges. A continental breakfast and registration check-in will be held from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. on the Hampton Room balcony, Scripps College, with a welcome from CMC President Pamela Gann.
The first conference session, on Crime and Affirmative Action (chaired by CMC's Eric Helland), follows at 8:50 in the Hampton Room.

Sessions scheduled throughout the day include:

Housing and Mortgage Default (chaired by CMC's Marc Weidenmier)

Pharmaceuticals and Health Care (chaired by Darius Lakdawalla, USC)

Education and Wages (chaired by Peter Kuhn, U.C. Santa Barbara)

Schooling and Local Government (chaired by Gordon Dahl, U.C. San Diego)

Graduate Student Session (chaired by Day Manioli, UCLA)

The conference concludes at 6:15 with a dinner for presenters, participants, and invited guests in the Aviation Room, Harvey Mudd College.
