Smart Connected Classrooms with Zoom Capabilities
ITS has recently completed major upgrades to all classrooms on campus, adding new equipment and expanding classroom infrastructure to support remote teaching and student engagement via Zoom.
All classrooms, with the exception of outdoor learning spaces, are now equipped with enhanced fully Integrated Audio and Video Systems, including:
- Large Dual-Gallery and Active-Speaker View Displays
- Integrated in-room Speakers and Microphone Systems
- PTZ Tracking Cameras
- Dedicated Zoom Gallery Computer
The upgraded classroom spaces are now ideal, streamlined teaching environments that allow for a variety of teaching and learning scenarios. These classrooms have been designed to enable remote students to easily see and be seen by the Instructor and to hear and be heard on par with in-class students. High end cameras enable Instructors to easily move back and forth among whiteboards/blackboards, and a dedicated Zoom computer makes starting or joining scheduled meetings easy.
