Trustee Neal Dempsey P'95 To Visit As Guest Of The UNOVA President's Leaders Forum

CMC Trustee Neal Dempsey P'95, managing general partner, Bay Partners, and a member of the Kravis Leadership Institute Advisory Board, will be on campus Thursday, Sept. 29 as a guest of the UNOVA President's Leaders Forum.

Dempsey joined Bay Partners in 1989, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Cupertino, Calif., that specializes in building start-up technologies companies. Clients include Brocade Communications, Digital Island, Informatica, Exodus Communications, SonicWALL, and WebLogic/BEA Systems. In addition to overseeing daily management of and professional staff development for Bay Partners, Dempsey is a member of the firm's investment committee and holds board seats with nine Bay Partners portfolio companies.

Dempsey also has served as CEO of Qubix Graphics Systems and chief executive of Envision Technology. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Washington's School of Business Administration, where he remains actively involved as a member of the Business School Advisory Board, and as a director of the University's Foundation. He also serves as chairman of the board of Eastfield Ming Quong, a Santa Clara-based nonprofit organization to support emotionally disturbed children and their families.

The UNOVA President's Leaders Forum is a student-centered program in which alumni and friends of the College visit campus for informal, small group interaction with students and faculty. Guests participate in student-led interviews, class visits, and roundtable sessions.
