Theater Season Underway Oct. 6

The Pomona College department of theatre & dance presents its first production of the 2004-05 season with The Love Song of Robert J. Oppenheimer, by Carson Kreitzer, opening at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7, in the Virginia Princehouse Allen Studio Theatre.

The production, featuring a cast of students from CMC, Pomona, Scripps, and Pitzer colleges, is described as a "searing kaleidoscope of history, myth, philosophical, and psychological contradictions swirling around the father of the atomic bomb:' J. Robert Oppenheimer."

Due to its complex and mature subject matter, this play is not recommended for children.

Performances will be held at 8 p.m., Oct. 7-8, and also at 2 p.m., Oct. 8-9. Ticket, now on sale, are $5 for faculty, staff, seniors and students of The Claremont Colleges, and $10 for the general public.
