Statement from President Pamela Gann

The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office issued a press release today announcing that Visiting Assistant Professor Kerri Dunn has been charged with one misdemeanor count of filing a false police report and two felony counts of insurance fraud in connection with the alleged vandalism of her car on March 9.

As I have previously communicated, the College has cooperated with the investigation and will continue to do so. We also continue to believe that the best resolution of these events will be determined through a prosecution of the individual or individuals responsible for the vandalism.

Professor Dunn remains on a leave of absence from her employment relationship with the College, which expires June 30, 2004. Because the criminal proceedings are ongoing, we cannot comment further on matters relating to Professor Dunn's employment with the College at this time.
