Professor Rood received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, and has studied at Stanford University, Oxford University, and the University of London. In addition to CMC, he has also taught at USC, Claremont Graduate University, Southwest Missouri State University, and U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. He is the author of numerous scholarly articles and books, including Kingdoms of the Blind. His lecture is co-sponsored by the Keck Center for International and Strategic Studies and the Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum.
