Peter Ward, director of the Mexican Center at the University of Texas, a leading international center for the study of Mexico, will visit the Athenaeum on Monday, Nov. 22. His lecture, Mexico at the Crossroads: Moving Towards Reform or Into Gridlock? begins at 6:45 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Ward received his Ph.D. from the University of Liverpool and taught at University College of London and the University of Cambridge before his appointment at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs and the Department of Sociology, where he is the C.B .Smith Sr. Centennial Chair in U.S.-Mexico Relations.
