Meredith Dement '04 has been selected as a delegate for the Atlantic Council of the United States to attend the Danish Atlantic Youth Seminar in Aalborg, Denmark, in July. The delegation of approximately 50 youths from Europe and North America will spend a week in Denmark attending lectures by senior-level NATO officials, senior-level officers from the Danish Defense Ministry, prominent Danish politicians, journalists, and Defense attaches and counselors from foreign embassies in Copenhagen. The conference also will include a security simulation and visits to military units around Denmark.
Dement, an international relations and history dual major, plans to attend law school with a specialization in international law. Dement's participation in the DAYS event is sponsored by the Keck Center for International and Strategic Studies.
