Kravis Leadership Institute Hosts Youth Program

CMC's Kravis Leadership Institute will host the Step Up to Leadership Program, a weeklong leadership development program for high school students from across the nation, June 12 to 17. The program assembles a diverse group of students to learn and practice effective leadership, culminating in a community service project for the City of Claremont. This year's students will provide their services to rejuvenate marked curbing in the Claremont Village, taking place between 12:30 and 3 p.m., June 15-16.

One of many KLI programs devoted to leadership, education, outreach and research, the Step Up to Leadership Program engages students in classroom sessions, workshops, and service projects to teach the insights and skills necessary to lead in a world of diverse beliefs and customs. KLI's other programs include sponsored research fellowships and internships for CMC student leaders, local mentoring programs and faculty grants.
