KLI Sponsoring Panel on Social Entrepreneurship

Social entrepreneurship will be the topic of a Thursday, Feb. 21 luncheon panel at the Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum on "How to Change the World: Leadership in Nonprofit Organizations." Anchoring the panel are Kravis Leadership Institute Advisory Board members Jack Edwards '66 and Sarah Smith Orr. The interactive panel discussion begins at noon and is free and open to all Claremont Colleges students, space permitting. Students will be able to ask questions of the panelists to tailor the time to students' interests.

Edwards works with the Ashoka Foundation, a global association of leading social entrepreneurs men and women with system-changing solutions for the world's most urgent social problems. Smith Orr, a management and planning consultant in the social sector, has worked with many nonprofits, including the United Way.

For more information or to sign up for this event, contact KLI leadership programs coordinator Jessica Briggs '03, 909-607-4162.

The panel is sponsored by the Kravis Leadership Institute at CMC, aspiring to be the premier academic center for the promotion and understanding of responsible, innovative leadership. The Institute works to provide unique opportunities for CMC students to develop as outstanding real world leaders in the public, private and social sectors.
