Claremont McKenna College is partnering with the 5Cs – Pomona, Pitzer, Scripps, and Harvey Mudd – for #GivingTuesday, an annual global celebration of generosity, to encourage philanthropic support and celebrate all of the #ClaremontConnections between the institutions.
From one-of-a-kind classes to extracurricular student groups, CMS Athletics to mentorship opportunities by a faculty or staff member at the 5Cs, collaboration and learning is integral to the Claremont College culture.
“Every CMCer has a story about the special experiences or unique relationships they've formed across the campuses. We want to recognize those stories and collectively encourage support for this incredible community,” said Kerry Brooke Steere, director of Annual Giving at CMC.
As a Classical Studies dual major, Kimiko Adler ’23 said the Claremont College consortium has shaped her path at CMC. “I’ve taken all of my language classes at Pomona and Scripps, and I’m not just studying Greek and Latin there. Taking classes at Pomona and Scripps has introduced me to new ways of thinking about the ancients and to making new friends, people I would have not even known if CMC were not part of the consortium."
Gifts may be made to any designation. Donations not only help support CMC, but enhance the shared experiences of students from across the 5Cs, ensuring future #ClaremontConnections.
