Students will have a chance on Friday, April 21 to view the city and snap photos from the Fawcett Hall rooftop, one of the only structures at The Claremont Colleges offering a breathtaking, 360-degree perspective of the community and beyond, from a height of 100 feet.
Through the combined efforts of Facilities and Campus Services and the Dean of Students Office, the Fawcett Hall rooftop is opened annually in spring so that students may enjoy visibility that on a clear day extends to downtown Los Angeles.
The roof will be open from 3 to 5 p.m. Participants should ride the elevator, or take the stairs, to the eighth floor, then use the NORTH stairwell to the roof. There is a wall, approximately 4-foot-tall, around the roof.
For safety reasons, flat-soled shoes or sandals are required. Spiked heels and boots may also damage the rooftop.
