CMC’s Model United Nations team won Best Small Delegation honors, along with several individual awards, at two conferences held Oct. 18-21. Sixteen members competed in USC’s TrojanMUN Conference held in downtown Los Angeles and seven members traveled to Washington, D.C. for the Georgetown International Relations Association NCSC conference.
Both were the first competitions of the academic year—and helped CMC’s Model UN team continue its winning tradition. Last year’s team also won individual and group awards at several noteworthy conferences, including Best Small Delegation at the 27th annual Harvard World Model United Nations Conference—one of the largest in the world—in Panama City, Panama.
Among the other schools competing at TrojanMUN and NCSC: Cornell, George Washington, Harvard, Princeton, Pomona, Stanford, UC Berkeley, UCLA, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, West Point, and William & Mary.
