CMCAA hosted two CMC IQ Live! events in Honolulu and Washington DC, following up on the success of the San Francisco Bay Area events held in the fall. These programs are designed to showcase the intellectual capital of our faculty and provide opportunities for alumni, parents, and friends of the College to dialogue with faculty and each other.
The Bank of Hawaii in Honolulu was the site for the Feb. 15 CMC IQ Live!, titled "Leadership in Crisis." Ron Riggio, Henry R. Kravis Professor of Leadership and Organizational Psychology; and Andy Busch, professor of government, participated in the panel, moderated by Lisa Kubota '98. Kubota is the news anchor for HawaiiNewsNow in Honolulu.
After the discussion, Stuart Ho '57 was presented with the Humanitarian Award for his service for his service to Claremont McKenna College, his community and the state of Hawaii.

Fred Allen, leadership editor at Forbes, served as moderator for the discussion. A full capacity crowd of parents and alumni filled the Colonial Ballroom at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel to participate in the event. Afterwards, Fred Allen wrote about the panel discussion in his March 4 Forbes piece, "Sizing Up Leadership in America".
