Claremont McKenna College has been ranked 12th in the nation among liberal arts colleges in the 2007 U.S. News & World Report rankings, tied with Vassar College. Category results for CMC within the main survey included: seventh "Most Selective," fifth "Lowest Acceptance Rate," and ninth for "Faculty Resources," among the 215 liberal arts colleges ranked.
Additional results in separate U.S. News rankings included: seventh in economic diversity, ninth in racial diversity, sixth lowest student debt load, and 16th place for "Great Schools, Great Prices."
Rankings of sister institutions within The Claremont Colleges include: Pomona College #7, Harvey Mudd # 14, Scripps #26, and Pitzer #51.
