Tickets are now available to see hip-hop artist Ciara perform at Bridges Auditorium at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11; prices are $20 for CMC students, $22 for students of The Claremont Colleges, and $25 for the general public.
Grammy Award-winning Ciara Princess Harris, 20, was born in Austin, Tx. The release of her first single, Goodies, in 2004, quickly climbed the charts and led producer Lil' Jon to christen the artist as "First Lady of Crunk & B," a melding of Georgia's Southern rap and rhythm and blues. Ciara's follow-up singles, 1, 2 Step, featuring rapper Missy Elliot, and Oh, with Ludacris, both broke the U.S. Top 5 in 2005. She has since toured with Gwen Stefani, Bow Wow, and Chris Brown.
