John Faranda

Biography

John Faranda is the vice president and ambassador-at-large for Claremont McKenna College, where he focuses on the College's international outreach efforts.  For more than 30 years, he has been centrally involved in various aspects of external relations and fundraising at the College, including CMC's Leaders in the Making Campaign and the Fifty Years of Leadership Campaign. A 1979 CMC graduate, John also serves as the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps sailing coach, the faculty advisor to the Claremont Cougars Men's Lacrosse Club, and the treasurer of Claremont Heritage, the local historic preservation association. He is a past president of the local chapter of Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic and a past president of Community Friends of International Students.  The CMC Alumni Association's annual student service award is named in his honor.
