Flexing our muscle
In the last issue of CMC Magazine, Al Dauber ’70 celebrated the dining experience on campus (“Move over, mashed potatoes)—but he wasn’t the only one who noticed the delicious fare served in the College’s Dining Hall these days.
The Active Times, an adventure and active lifestyle site, has compiled its 50 Fittest Colleges in America in 2015 and CMC is No. 2 on the list. The website says it based its rankings on a variety of factors along with dining hall fare — including fitness facilities, sports programs, and quality of life on campus.
The only school ranked above CMC? Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech) in Blacksburg, Va.
And what about CMC’s sibling colleges? The only other college that made the Active Times top 50 list was Scripps, which ranked No. 21.

Top 5 things for a care package
Students love receiving care packages from home. They always put a smile on the recipient’s face.
Care packages are great to receive at any time during the semester, but they may be especially meaningful during more stressful times of the year such as midterm or final exam weeks. The Office of Alumni and Parent Relations polled 40 CMC students and asked them to give their top 5 care package items. Here are the results:
