Financial Aid

How is Financial Aid Calculated?

The formula for financial aid is relatively simple: Total Cost of Attendance minus Expected Family Contribution (Derived from the FAFSA & CSS Profile) = Your Need Claremont McKenna College meets your Need with a financial aid Award or Package which consists of several parts:

Net Price Calculator

As we all know, for most, financial aid is a considerably important part of the College Admission process. Tuition or Cost of Attendance alone are not necessarily valid indicators of what you are likely to pay. Consequently, to truly compare your financial aid opportunities, you must look at your Net Price. Based on the information you submit regarding your family's financial situation, you will be presented a "net price," a number that reflects your estimated cost of attending CMC for the current year. (Please note, this calculator will only serve the needs of US citizens and US permanent residents.)
