Welcome to Student Affairs!


At Claremont McKenna College, we strive to provide students with a great experience during their time of study.  In addition to participating in academic courses and programs, we want students to have an experience that fosters personal growth, builds lifelong friendships, is safe, is enjoyable, and leads to many opportunities after college.  There are several hundred people who work at CMC and The Claremont Consortium to meet these goals, and on their behalf, I'd like you to know that it is an honor to work in Student Affairs.  (Many of these people and services can be found in the list of departments on the left column of this page.)

It is also important to note that there is a very positive spirit in Student Affairs at CMC.  In addition to maintaining our core responsibilities to keep everything running, our team is working on new and special projects that will deliver services to students in more efficient ways.  We want to reinvent, achieve more, and make the student experience better.  If you have some ideas on how we can get better, I welcome your thoughts.  (Please email me at jhuang@cmc.edu.)
