Welcome to Career Services! We are dedicated to equipping all Claremont McKenna College students with the knowledge, skills and resources to find meaningful opportunities while at CMC and beyond. We strive to do this through career counseling, programming, employer relations and relationship building and providing opportunities for experiential learning.
On this site there are a multitude of resources to assist with identifying interests and opportunities, assessing skills and abilities, and presenting a well-rounded individual to the world after CMC. Our services are available to all students in all majors.

Internships are valuable experiences that build skills and help to determine ‘what’s next’ following graduation. In a competitive job market, an internship can make the difference in obtaining a full-time position. A very high percentage of CMC students participate in at least one internship during their college years, and many participate in multiple internships.

Hundreds of employers list their full-time opportunities here at CMC and many come and interview on campus. Your ClaremontConnect profile will allow you to receive targeted job and internship information and submit resume and cover letters online for interviews. To understand how to participate in on-campus recruiting and to use ClaremontConnect effectively, we strongly encourage you to attend one of the ClaremontConnect training sessions or visit the CSC.

There are many reasons to attend graduate/professional school and the benefits of having an advanced degree are often significant. People generally go to graduate school because they have a passion for a topic and they want to delve into it deeply and pursue it professionally after they complete their program. Students can go straight into graduate programs immediately after completion of their BA, or people can go back to graduate school after a few years. Individuals who go back to graduate school after working a while often do so to move up in their current profession, while others desire a change in their profession which requires an additional set, or a completely different set, of skills.
