Who we are:
We invest in exceptional, early-stage private companies. These are typically, but not exclusively, consumer businesses. We work with category-leading companies in industries ranging from mobile gaming to athletic events to fashion retail. Our partners have founded, lead and held senior roles in major financial firms including Goldman Sachs and InterWest Partners, and public companies such as Starbucks and Under Armour.
We look for brands with passionate advocates, products with addictive qualities, and persuasive theses about long-term change, be it technological, demographic, or cultural.
Simply put, help us find those needles in the haystack. We’re looking for interns to work part-time during the school year (and if they do well, full-time during the summer) finding, speaking to, and helping us evaluate promising companies. You’ll converse with the CEOs of companies you admire, understanding what makes some of them exceptional investment opportunities. We think this will be particularly useful experience if you’re interested either in investing yourself, or in founding or working at startups or small businesses.
Experience in finance or banking is not necessary. What we’re looking for is persistence, curiosity, and creativity, interns who will find investment targets we might have missed otherwise, and pursue those aggressively.
The school-year internship is part-time, unpaid, and can be conducted remotely. The summer internship is full- time, paid, and in our Santa Monica office.
How to apply:
