The job:

Simply put, help us find those needles in the haystack. We’re looking for interns to work part-time during the school year (and if they do well, full-time during the summer) finding, speaking to, and helping us evaluate promising companies. You’ll converse with the CEOs of companies you admire, understanding what makes some of them exceptional investment opportunities. We think this will be particularly useful experience if you’re interested either in investing yourself, or in founding or working at startups or small businesses.

Work includes:

  • Exploring industries you’re interested in and forming opinions about change in those industries
  • Identify and contact the investible companies within that space
  • Evaluate those companies and investment opportunities and help us make decisions

Experience in finance or banking is not necessary. What we’re looking for is persistence, curiosity, and creativity, interns who will find investment targets we might have missed otherwise, and pursue those aggressively.

The school-year internship is part-time, unpaid, and can be conducted remotely. The summer internship is full- time, paid, and in our Santa Monica office.

Marketing & Operations Internship 

Girls Raising is looking for a motivated and talented intern to manage content creation, social media feeds and marketing outreach. This position would allow you to learn about the startup industry and give you exposure to high profile men and women who support our objectives.  It will be heavily content and operations based, but will allow you to explore many different facets of working at a growing startup network and venture fund.  You must have a passion for women’s advancement  in technology, business and entrepreneurship  and be excited about expanding the organization’s reach.  This is a role where you will actively contribute to the launch and success of the company. Job Description: Provide administrative support to office operations, including the following tasks:

Beginning in 2014 the first of approximately 1200 new top level internet domains will be coming to market, which will fundamentally change how information is organized on the internet. Instead of internet world we know today, which is dominated by generic domains such as “.com”, “.biz”, and “.co”, there will soon be a wave of branded and generic top level domains focused on specific brands, industries, verticals, and categories of goods and services.

.Luxury, a new top level internet domain focused exclusively on the luxury industry, is seeking up to three student interns to assist in developing and executing the launch strategy for this new online platform. As is the case for most start up businesses, the nature of various project work will vary considerably and relate to research, modeling, marketing, strategy, communications and technology platforms.
