The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a new space at the Claremont Colleges where students can come for all of their entrepreneurial needs. CIE was created as a joint venture with The Dean of the Faculty, The Kravis Leadership Institute, and The Robert Day School of Economics and Finance in an effort to foster and support the entrepreneurial initiatives of students at the Claremont Colleges.

In the spring of 2012, student entrepreneurs approached all three partners to explore the possibility of formalizing a program for innovation and entrepreneurship. The vision of the program is multidimensional and includes a mentorship program, co-curricular workshops, speakers, and a physical hub for entrepreneurship. CIE serves to catalyze the efforts of student initiatives at the Claremont Colleges by connecting students, alumni, faculty and the broader community in an environment that fosters innovative thinking and creative problem solving.
