Gregory SneedAssociate Dean of AdmissionOriginally from Northern California, Greg earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from UC Davis. After college, he traveled to the East Coast for graduate school, earning his master’s degree in higher education from Harvard University. Before coming to Claremont McKenna, he worked in senior positions in two admission offices in the University of California system, first at UC Davis and then at UC San Diego. He loves the admission profession for many reasons, but particularly the opportunity it provides to travel and meet with students, parents, counselors, and anyone else who wants to learn more about CMC. Outside of work, and sometimes during it, Greg is a huge college football fan. He enjoys cheering on the CMS Stags and Athenas, Cal Bears, and his UC Davis Aggies. |

Abby ParsonsSenior Associate Director of Financial AidAbby grew up in a suburb of Chicago and came to Claremont to attend Pitzer College when it was still a women's college! While attending Pitzer she met her husband, who was attending Claremont Men's College. They never left Claremont. Abby worked in Financial Aid and Admission at Pitzer College for almost 30 years and then the Financial Aid Office at the California Institute of Technology. She joined the Claremont McKenna College financial aid staff in July 2006, and was thrilled to give up commuting. She loves working close to home again. Abby and Jack (CMC Class of 1970) live in Claremont with their three dogs Milo, Onyx, and Carlie who are often seen walking the campus in the early morning. Catherine MayfieldAssistant Director of Financial AidCatherine knew when she first stepped foot on the grounds of the Claremont Colleges over 20 years ago, that she would one day proudly hang a parking placard from her rear view mirror. Those placards have now been replaced with decals, and the car she drives has changed over the years, but her pride in working at CMC continues. Joining the CMC Financial Aid Office by way of Chaffey College, Catherine has enjoyed taking students and their families down the financial aid path from start to finish. A socio-cultural anthropology graduate from Pitzer College, Catherine still misses the excitement of college studies, and the opportunity to take classes at all of the undergraduate Claremont Colleges. She traded in graduate studies in Negotiations & Public Policy for her love of film and photography. You can catch her with her camera gear at events and locations all over the country and the world! |
