Financial Aid and Scholarships
A limited amount of need-based financial aid is available to international students. Competition for this aid is very selective. Merit scholarships are also available for international students.
Students Applying for Need-Based Financial Aid
To be considered for need-based aid, international students applying for admission to the College must submit the International Student Financial Aid Application or the CSS PROFILE.

- Freshman Applicants: February 1
- Transfer Applicants: March 2
Students Not Applying for Need-Based Financial Aid
Non-US citizens who are not applying for financial aid will need to submit a Certification of Finances in order to receive a student visa. This form can be submitted after the student has received an admission decision.
Merit Scholarships at Claremont McKenna College
Merit scholarships are also available at CMC. Merit scholarships are awarded regardless of financial need. Merit awards range in size from $10,000 to full tuition. To apply for merit scholarships, freshman applicants must submit their Common Application and CMC Supplement by the December 1 Merit Scholarship Deadline. For more information click below.
