About the Soll Center for Student Opportunity
The Soll Center for Student Opportunity is comprised of a dedicated team of professionals providing personalized advising, coaching, mentoring and networking support for students at all stages of their college experience. This support also extends to our alumni post-graduation.
From a student’s first year on campus, the Center facilitates early real-world personal development and career exploration that enable students to recognize, cultivate and translate their interests and strengths into meaningful and exciting real-world experiences. These experiences range from internships, networking treks, industry meet-ups and job shadows, to graduate and professional programs, fellowships, and full-time employment.
CMC is unique in its small but mighty and highly responsive community of CMC alumni, parents, students, faculty and staff. The Center connects students to all the resources across the depth and breadth of the CMC community to help students achieve their personal and professional goals.

Sponsored Internships & Experiences
At the Soll Center for Student Opportunity, we believe all students should have the opportunity to participate in transformative internships and start exploring career paths from their first summer at CMC. Summer internships are the best way to explore a career while developing meaningful skills. This is why we offer the Sponsored Internships & Experiences (SIE) Program with the goal of enabling all students to take full advantage of quality summer experiences across a variety of industries and geographies.
Scholar Communities
Located in the Soll Center for Student Opportunity, the dedicated Scholar Community team partners with students to navigate their transition to college, build connections and awareness of resources across campus, and provide funding for early summer internships and experiences, as well as educational and co-curricular experiences. All Scholar Community students are encouraged to take advantage of the individualized personal and professional development coaching offered by our skilled Career Coaches, as well as mentoring opportunities with other Scholars who are farther along in their four-year journey at CMC.
