Cross-Registration
At CMC, first-years and sophomores may take 1 course off-campus; juniors and seniors may take 2 courses (1/2 of their academic course-load) off-campus. Courses in joint and cooperative programs do not count toward the off-campus registration limit. See the Statement of Academic Policy for the full Registration policy.

* Keck Science courses are not considered cross-registration for the 2024-2025 academic year for all classes. Starting in the 2025-2026 academic year, Keck Science courses will not be considered cross-registration for the classes of 2026 and 2027 (including transfer students) only.
Graduate Level Courses
Claremont Graduate University (CGU)
Students wishing to take a course at CGU must obtain permission to enroll. CGU courses are not available for registration via the portal. Complete and submit a CGU Course Registration Request Form to the Registrar's Office at or after your pre-registration appointment time. Forms will be accepted until the add deadline each semester.

Keck Graduate Institute (KGI)
Students wishing to take a course at KGI must obtain permission to enroll. KGI courses are not available for registration via the portal.
Science majors participating in a Team Master’s Project (ALS 400 KG) as part of their senior thesis will register for the senior thesis through Keck Science. Registration in ALS 400 does not require additional forms in this case.
Students participating in a Team Master's Project (ALS 400 KG) outside of the senior thesis, or seeking to take any other KGI course, must complete and submit a KGI Course Registration Request Form to the Registrar's Office. Forms will be accepted until the add deadline each semester.
