Roberts Campus Sports Bowl

Phase One of the Roberts Campus Sports Bowl.
Phase One of the Roberts Campus Sports Bowl

Championship facilities + passionate scholar-leader-athletes = championship programs.

The vision for the CMC Sports Bowl reflects excellence demonstrated by CMS scholar-leader-athletes both in competition and inside the classroom. Following the blueprint of Roberts Pavilion and the Biszantz Family Tennis Center, the new Sports Bowl will create a custom athletics campus maximizing performance in training, competition, and health and wellness. As members of a national championship-caliber NCAA Division III program, our Athenas and Stags apply collegiate athletics experiences to all facets of their personal and professional growth, honing important skills such as work ethic, determination, judgement, and resilience to become tomorrow’s responsible leaders.

Initial construction of the Sports Bowl will develop the southern half of 75-acres to the east of campus across Claremont Boulevard—beginning with state-of-the-art athletic fields for baseball and softball. Also included in Phase One are: a track and field competition venue, lacrosse/football field, running paths for cross country and recreational runners alike, and a golf practice facility. The new sports venue will offer a variety of spectator seating options, as well as support facilities with locker rooms, meeting spaces, and sports medicine services. Additionally, it will serve as the future home of CMC’s ROTC program. Phase One will also include a parking structure and a 20-foot wide arcade that will run under Claremont Boulevard connecting the Sports Bowl to the main campus for pedestrian traffic.

75
acres of land was acquired to the east of Claremont Boulevard for the Sports Bowl, as well as other school facilities, through a generous gift from CMC Trustee George Roberts ’66 P’93.

2x
The Roberts Campus, which includes the Sports Bowl, will double the College’s footprint.

10
sports, representing 141 SCIAC Championships, will be included in Phase One of the Sports Bowl: softball, baseball, cross country, football, golf, track & field, and women’s lacrosse.

300+
CMS scholar-leader-athletes annually will benefit from the new athletics facilities in Phase One of the Sports Bowl’s development.

To help realize CMC’s championship vision in bringing together entire community, we seek additional support. The following Sports Bowl naming opportunities are currently available:
