Strategic Educational Technology Committee
The Strategic Educational Technology Committee is a revised version of the former Alternate Learning Models Subcommittee that was instituted to look at online education. The committee takes a broad view of various forms of educational technology, including flipped classrooms, various types of videography and technology use in teaching and learning.
Charge to the Strategic Educational Technology Committee
“The purpose of the new, smaller, more streamlined committee is to explore and advance various uses of technology for the educational benefit of our students, and to enhance the dissemination of the scholarship and insights of our faculty, both to the CMC community and a broader audience. Consisting of selected trustees, staff, and faculty who are currently innovating their teaching through technology, the new committee will help to advise and inform a strategic approach to educational technology at CMC. At the same time, President Chodosh will continue his dialogue and work with a collaborative group of liberal arts colleges that are exploring the educational possibilities of innovations in technology, including but not limited to online education. The results of this collaboration will dovetail with the efforts of the Committee on Strategies for Educational Technology.”
