Greyson Blue ‘13 Greyson is a junior at CMC, majoring in economics. He is currently working as the STATA tutor for the FEI. Originally from Kirkland, WA, he has been a member of the CMS varsity basketball team and helps coach tennis and basketball for the Claremont Special Olympics. Greyson is interested in finance, macroeconomics and policymaking and plans on eventually attending law school after CMC. |

William Locke Brown ‘14 Locke is a sophomore at CMC, pursuing a dual major in Economics and Mathematics with the Financial Economics Sequence. Aside from working as a student research analyst for the FEI under Professor Eric Helland, Locke is a math tutor and a member of the Student Investment Fund. His current research project with Helland is on fair value accounting. Coming from Birmingham, Alabama, he attended the Altamont School and enjoys playing disc golf, rock climbing, attending live music events, and skiing. Locke is very interested in pursuing a career in capital management, and is looking to work in a related area this coming summer. |

Maxwell Chambers ’12 Max is a senior at CMC and is pursuing an Economics/Mathematics dual major. Originally from Portland, OR, Max enjoys skiing, the beach, and cheering on his hometown Blazers and Ducks. His FEI project this semester is working as a research analyst on a project researching the financial performance of companies with flat management structures with Professor Paul Zak at the Claremont Graduate University. This past summer he worked at Mercer in their Human Capital practice in LA, and will continue working there full-time in the summer of 2012. |

Viken Douzdjian ’13 Viken is a rising junior at CMC, majoring in Economics and Mathematics and plans to complete the Financial Sequence. He is currently working at the FEI with Professor Meulbroek, Professor Smith, and Noah Franz investigating university/college endowment policy in the current recession. Viken is the president of the Claremont Men's Lacrosse Team and COO of the Student Investment Fund. When he graduates he hopes to pursue a career in investment banking. |

Stacie Hettrick ’13 Originally from Tokyo, Stacie Hettrick is an Economics-Accounting major pursuing a Finance Sequence in her junior year. Currently, Stacie assists Professor Hughson with analysis on senator insider trading. Stacie will be working for Guggenheim Securities in Santa Monica this summer and, post graduation, hopes to pursue a career in finance or consulting. Stacie spends her weekends playing with Batman (her puppy, Bruce Wayne) and skiing. |

Alex Johnson ’13 Alex is a current junior pursuing a dual degree in Econ-Accounting and Psychology with a Financial Economics Sequence. He is currently working on a project with Professor Hughson to determine if insider financial information in Congress affects members' returns on top of normal market returns. From Thousand Oaks, CA, Alex also performs research at the Rose Institute, is an analyst in the Student Investment Fund, and is a member of the CMS Varsity Tennis Team. He hopes to find an internship in investment banking or consulting this summer. His favorite television show is Two and a Half Men. |

Arjun Kapur ’14 Arjun is a sophomore at CMC from Dubai. He is majoring in Economics and International Relations with the Financial Economics Sequence. He is currently working as a research analyst for Professor Eric Helland, conducting data analysis on fair value accounting, state funding for low income seniors drug purchases and whether a financial scandal in one firm spreads to other firms who use the same auditor at the same office. In addition to working at the FEI, he works at the Lowe Institute of Political Economy and is a member of the Student Investment Fund. |

Nikhil Ledlie ’13 Nikhil is currently a junior at CMC, pursuing a dual major in Economics and Mathematics with the Financial Economics Sequence. Nikhil is from New Delhi, India. He spent his last summer working as a research analyst at the FEI. This semester he is working for Professor Helland on a research project involving fair value accounting. Nikhil plans to pursue a career in finance once he graduates from CMC. |

Rosabella Magat ‘12 Rosabella is a senior, majoring in Economics and plans to complete the Financial Economics Sequence. She enjoys travelling and has lived in a few dynamic cities (Manila, Los Angeles and New York City). She loves to frequent the internet, read, cook and listen to music. In the past, Rosabella has done research for the FEI, the Lowe Institute and the Berger Institute. During her junior year, she studied at the London School of Economics. This past summer she worked at Goldman Sachs' Corporate Treasury department, and is now looking to go into investment banking after graduation. Her current project, through the FEI, is working with Professor Paul Zak at CGU researching the financial performance of companies with flat management structures. |

Akbar Mirza ‘13 Akbar is a junior from Westport, Connecticut majoring in Economics-Accounting and plans to complete the Financial Economics Sequence. This past summer, he was an analyst at the New York, NY-based Kohlberg Capital Corporation focusing on comparable company valuation for term loan and buyout financing prospects. The previous summer, Akbar worked at Odyssey Investment Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, reviewing and recommending potential acquisition targets. Akbar is an active member of the CMC Student Investment Fund. He also works as part of the Student Research Team for CMC’s Office of Development, concentrating on interviewing alumni in the fields of business and finance. Upon graduation, Akbar plans to pursue a career in financial services. |

Benjamin Pyle ‘13 Ben Pyle is a junior at CMC dual majoring in Mathematics and PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics) along with the Finance Sequence. A southern California native, Ben enjoys watching and playing sports, reading, and listening to music. Ben has previously written for the Inland Empire Outlook, worked as a Research Assistant for the RAND Corporation through the Lowe Institute of Political Economy at CMC, and has been a math tutor. He participated in the Washington, DC program during the Fall 2011 semester. |

Sara Reed ’12 Sara is a senior at CMC majoring in Economics with the Financial Economics Sequence. Born and raised in New York City, Sara spent last summer in her home city interning at Deutsche Bank - Credit Risk Management. She is working with Professor Hughson to examine the effects of the introduction of a clearinghouse on trading costs in the New York Stock Exchange during the 1890s. Specifically, she is creating a price-weighted index in order to analyze daily stock returns compared to the overall market. She is a member of the Student Investment Fund. Sara plans to pursue a career in finance after graduation. |

Daniel Shane ’13 Daniel Shane is a junior PPE and Econ-Accounting Dual Major pursuing a sequence in Financial Economics. He hails from Irvine, California, where he attended University High School. This fall he is conducting research for Professor Martos-Vila on the trends in companies filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Outside of the FEI, he participates in Model United Nations and Mock Trial. |

Yijing (Artemis) Shen ‘13 Yijing (Artemis) is an international student from Shanghai, China. A transfer from Scripps College, Artemis is now a junior at CMC, pursuing a double major in Mathematics and Economics. Artemis was a math and economics tutor and a TA for Psychological Statistics and Intermediate Macroeconomics during her sophomore year. Since the past summer, Artemis has been working as a research analyst for the Lowe Institute of Political Economy in addition to the FEI. At the FEI, Artemis collaborates with Professor Burdekin who specializes in China’s economy. Their research involves the examination of the differential between the share prices of China's four state-owned commercial banks traded in Shanghai vs. prices observed in Hong Kong, linkages between Chinese futures exchange markets, and cross-strait macroeconomics interdependence between Mainland China and Taiwan. Having spent 3 years in a private boarding school on the east coast, Artemis is thoroughly enjoying the west coast. In her free time, Artemis loves to read and to travel, and is a professional at tanning. |

Ankit Sud '14 Ankit is a sophomore at CMC majoring in Economics with a Financial Economics Sequence. He is currently working as an FEI research analyst for Professor Hughson on a project investigating Congressional insider trading. Originally from Mumbai, India, he attended the American School of Bombay and is currently involved in Model United Nations and the Student Investment Fund. In the future, Ankit hopes to work in the financial services industry. |

Hao Tang ’12 (Pomona) Hao is a senior at Pomona College, majoring in Economics. He is a Phi Beta Kappa Society member and a Robert Day Scholar. He has previously worked as an intern in various industries, including private wealth management, energy, utilities, financial regulatory affairs, and investment management with a focus on fixed income. Originally from Shanghai, China, he has also lived in Australia and England. He speaks fluent Mandarin and Shanghainese, in addition to English and French. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball and billiards, investing in stocks and options, and cooking Asian food. This fall, Hao is working with Professor Sven Arndt on international trade flows, primarily using econometric analysis. |

Samuel Wong ’13 Sam is a junior at CMC, pursuing a dual major in Mathematics and Economics with the Financial Economics Sequence. He is currently working as an FEI research analyst for Professor Hughson on the Congressional Insider Trading project. He is also a member of the Student Investment Fund and the Asian Pacific American Mentoring program. Originally from Palo Alto, California, Sam enjoys playing tennis, basketball, ping-pong, or just enjoying the outdoor weather. |

Sze Wai Yuen ’12 Sze Wai is from Hong Kong, China and is a junior at CMC majoring in Economics-Accounting. She spent the past summer in Boston where she interned at an economic consulting firm and earned a bartending certification. She is currently working at the FEI with Professor Rosett and Professor Batta on a project looking at the human capital of star winemakers. In her free time, Sze Wai enjoys travelling, cooking, mixology and dancing. |
